6. Sacred Temple Ordinances and Covenants

“Sacred ordinances and covenants available in holy temples make it possible for individuals to return to the presence of God and for families to be united eternally.” (P.3)

In the holy temple, we can make covenants with Jesus and Heavenly Father (Covenants are promises we make with God).

Because we are imperfect, sometimes families fall apart and get divorced. If we keep our covenants and do our best, the Lord, through His Atonement, has promised to bless us and strengthen us.

President Henry B. Eyring taught us not to worry about our family members not making the right choices. But concentrating our efforts on working hard to follow Jesus Christ, loving them more, and judging them less despite their choices. We can make a difference in your family by choosing to be Jesus’ disciples. (Repenting when we make a mistake. Jesus wants to help us; He will if we let Him.)
