“The first commandment that God gave to Adam and Eve pertained to their potential for parenthood as husband and wife. We declare that God’s commandment for His children to multiply and replenish the earth remains in force.” (P.4)
We have the same commandment that God gave to Adam and Eve.
Because of all the confusing information in the world, many people are afraid to bring kids into this world. The prophets have promised that we will be blessed and guided to raise our children if we are obedient.
If we study the proclamation carefully, we will find a guide to raising our children.
Some couples cannot have kids; that is called infertility. It is a very hard challenge, physically, mentally and spiritually. The Prophets have promised us that if we are faithful we are going to be blessed. The family promises are not only temporal but there are also eternal. Some parents have the blessing of adopting their children, they too can be an eternal family.
Each family has different trials. Many times we do not understand why we have to go through them. Maybe we won’t receive an answer during this life. But these challenges can help us grow and learn to understand and love others, making us get closer to Jesus and become more like Him.
